Social media has provided a viable platform for businesses, big and small, to cater to a wider audience. Billions of people around the world use Facebook, Twitter, and the likes on a daily basis. You can get your message across to your target audience in a simple and accessible way via these platforms. However, your competitors are probably doing the same. So, how can you gain an edge?
First and foremost, you need to set your social media posts on autopilot.
You probably have a lot on your plate already and prioritizing social media posting might not be possible. Thankfully, there are a number of tips you can follow to schedule your social media posts like a pro.

1 – Gather content & create a schedule (Recommended: Facebook & Instagram)
Focus on one or two social networks, if you try to be everywhere then you’ll end up nowhere.
Mastering one or two social networks looks better than to have 5 or 6 social networks that never get updated.
Focus on posts with photos or videos because they’re proven to draw your fans’ attention better than posts without photos or video. Facebook is also trying to push video content now so it’s given preferential treatment in the news feed.
2 – Use A Scheduling Tool (Recommended: CoSchedule or Hootsuite)
Remembering to post every day and taking the time out to do it? Ain’t nobody got time for that! Social scheduling tools like CoSchedule and Hootsuite will keep all of your social media up to date in minimal time.
Set aside one hour a week to schedule all of your social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc) and you’ll look like an expert in no time! Popular posts related to your blog content should be reworked and rescheduled for a later date if possible. Each industry has different post frequency best practices; if your engagement is high on each post then try posting more often and if it’s low then try posting less often.
3 – Follow The 80/20 Rule! (Tip: Have Your Ads Professional Designed)
No one wants to be sold to all the time, it turns them off and they’re more likely to unfollow your business on social media.
A good rule of thumb is that 20% of your posts should be hard sells such as advertisements and 80% of your posts should be entertaining posts or soft sells.
Soft selling is an art. You’re talking about things related to your business and you’re providing your contact information but it’s not an advertisement. Soft Sell Example: Posting about a local event and mentioning that your business is nearby and would love for event patrons to stop in.
Hard selling is easy… it’s usually a sale or promotion your business is running. Makes sure you use high-quality advertising/promotional images with these posts. You want your customers to associate
